boy, my family loves me

excerpts from past conversations:

the kind doctor who took out my wisdom teeth: Wow, Brittany is really funny. She kept me laughing all day.
my dear sweet mother: Are you sure?
doctor: Yes, why?
mom: You're sure it's Brittany? She's usually not very funny.

me: So I hear you're dating someone.
sister: Yeah. His name's Marshall. He's really hot.
me: What's he like?
sister: He actually reminds me a lot of you.
me: Really? That's exciting.

three weeks later:
sister: So, I broke up with Marshall.
me: Why? He was so hot.
sister: Yeah, he was. But he had no personality.
me: Huh....

The question is: Did she remember her statement to you about how this guy reminded her of you? And thus how she may have been making a statement about you when she gave you her reason for breaking up with him? Hmmm... ~~

I think you should hold a smoldering grudge.

It's either lay the blame on your sister, or bury your head in the sand and pretend she didn't mean it but carry the hurt deep inside, or delve into a phase of deep introspection wich will invariably lead to a prolonged state of depression.

If you're family is really that great, they'll understand your grudge, see their error, and then the world will become a happy place. I vote for the grudge.
